Margaret D Hansford

Margaret D. Pickelsimer-Hansford, age 51, left this world peacefully Wednesday, September 12, 2018 after fighting a long battle of cancer. She passed holding the hands of her husband and daughter. Her mother also present by her side.

Margaret was a life long resident of Athens, Ga. She graduated in 1987 from Clarke Central High School. She loved Elvis Presley and the Georgia Bulldogs. She was a simple, quiet, and loving woman and acquired many of her daughters friends as her own.

She is the daughter of the late James F. Pickelsimer and survived by her mother Rhuamie Pickelsimer, a husband of 31 years, Willie J. Hansford, a daughter Melinda Hansford-Reeves, a son in-law James D. Reeves, and two beautiful granddaughters Emma age 3 and Landry age 2.

Funeral service will be 2:00pm Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Lord and Stephens East. The family will visit at the funeral home Sunday from 12:00pm to 2:00pm.
