Born in Anderson, SC, she was a daughter of the late Otis and Maude Powell.
Survivors include her daughters, Teresa Cruz, Denise Standridge and Lisa Brown; siblings, James Powell (Linda), Wayne Powell (Patricia) and Mary Crocker; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
