Margaret Putnam Bledsoe, 88, of Watkinsville and formerly of Dalton, died on January 12, 2024.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Malvia Putnam.
Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, John Paul Bledsoe; beloved son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Ivette Bledsoe; granddaughters who were the joy of her life, Olivia and Naomi Bledsoe; brother and sister-in-law Marion and Carol Putnam; niece Allison (Darrell) Owens, and nephew Michael (Lisa) Putnam.
Margaret was a faithful member of Center Point Baptist Church in Dalton for 69 years and presently a member of Briarwood Baptist Church in Watkinsville. She was an avid reader and served as librarian at Center Point for several years. She had a special love for children and taught Sunday School at Center Point. She graduated from Valley Point High School and received a certificate in Secretarial Science from West Georgia College.
The family will receive friends at Lord and Stephens, West Chapel in Watkinsville on Saturday, January 13 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 15 at Love Funeral Home in Dalton, GA at 2:00 p.m. with George Ross and Matt Futch officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for two hours prior to the service. Interment will follow at West Hill Cemetery.
