Athens - Manuel J. Arana, 69, passed away July 30, 2008. He was a native of Cajamarca, Peru and resident of Athens. Memorial services will be held at 11am, Saturday, August 2, 2008 at Friendship Presbyterian Church.
He was a lawyer and teacher in Peru, but his passion was writing. He had many poems, stories and books published in Peru and in the U.S.
Survivors include his wife, Carmen R. Arana; his children, Laura Puch, Carlos E. Arana, Julio C. Arana, Malena Arana, Manuel E. Arana, Lizbet Arana; seven grandchildren; his mother, Laura Esther Arana; and ten sisters.
Flowers will be received by Friendship Presbyterian Church.
Lord & Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
