Athens - Maggie Laura Hutchins, 83, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2005.
A native of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Maggie Ellen Holiday Whitehead and the widow of David Daniel Hutchins, Sr. Mrs. Hutchins loved outside working in her yard, her family and friends and her cat, Sassy. She was a member of Prospect United Methodist Church.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, August 27, 2005, at Prospect United Methodist Church with the Revs. Wayne Smith and Shane Moore officiating.
Survivors include her children; David Hutchins and Jean Wilson, both of Athens; two sisters, Inez Whitehead, Fannie Belle Hollis, both of Athens; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Rev. Steven Haskill, Greg Tolbert, Dean Stringer, Richard Baron, Mike Baron, and Matthew Baron.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 thru 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Lord & Stephens Funeral Home WEST is in charge of arrangements.
