Crawford, GA - Mr. Lynn Vondelle Barrentine, 82, died September 22, 2005.
A native of Camilla, GA, he was a son of the late John C. and Annie Mae James Barrentine and was preceded in death by a son, Lynn Vondelle Barrentine, Jr. He was a carpenter and a United States Air Force veteran of World War II.
Funeral services will be Saturday, September 24, 2005, at 2:00 PM at Clouds Creek Baptist Church with Rev. John Parker officiating. Interment will be in Athens Memory Gardens.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy M. Barrentine; five children, Betty Jo Barrentine, James David Barrentine, Sheila Ann Arthur, all of Crawford, John William Barrentine and Charles "Chuck" Owen Barrentine, both of Ft. Gaines, GA; sister, Annette Gilbert of Freeport, FL; three grandchildren, William Corry Arthur, David Shaun Barrentine, and Lori Lynn Arthur; two nieces, Nancy Lynn B. Alster of Louisville, KY and Molli Scarborough of Athens.
Pallbearers will be Curtis Arthur, James Matthews, James Lewis, Bob Huff, Gary Guest, and Travis Gabriel.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens Oglethorpe Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
