Athens - Louise Gilmore, 85, died July 24, 2005.
A native of Wadley, GA, she was a daughter of the late William F. and Lillie Wilson Tanksley, and the widow of Frank Charles Gilmore. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Alva Brooks, Cora Lee Pelfrey, Lois Teat, and a brother, Jim Tanksley. She was owner and operator of Gilmoreís Grocery for thirty-four years.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST. Interment will be in Tuckston United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Frankie and Larry Evans of Winder, Brenda and Walter Statkum of Athens; stepson, Frank C. Gilmore, Jr. of Marietta; sister, Wilma White of Athens; brother, Hoyt Tanksley of Greenville, SC; two step grandchildren, Tammy Morgan of Watkinsville and Tracy Kiley of Winder; three step great grandchildren; Karly Morgan, Weston Kiley, and Karrie Kiley.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
