Louie Eugene Misenhamer, III

Louie Eugene “Gene” Misenhamer, III, 72, of Bishop, GA, died on July 1, 2026.

Born in Cornelia, GA, Gene was the son of the late Louie Eugene “Mickey” Misenhamer and Elizabeth Patrick Misenhamer and brother to the late Patricia Parsons. He received his BA from Georgia State and retired from Athens Regional as the Engineering Superintendent and Fire Marshall after 40 years. He enjoyed playing racquetball and softball, coaching the softball team at Athens Regional and working on old cars. Gene’s true love in life was spending time with his kids and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife Pam Martin Misenhamer; children: Lou (Sylvia) Misenhamer, Lucy Misenhamer, Logan (Allison) Misenhamer and Mac Misenhamer; sister: Kathi Baucom and four grandchildren that he adored, Ella, Josephine, Carson and Lola.

The family will receive friends from 6PM until 8PM on Friday, July 3, 2026 at Lord and Stephens West Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
