Lonnie 77, died unexpectedly on 02-07-2023 at home with loved ones. He was born February 27, 1945, in Jackson County Georgia and was the son of Charlie and Sallie Bell Cox, he is predeceased by 9 Siblings and survived by 3 siblings, Gayle Herring, Johnny Cox, and Sally Cox out of 13.

Lonnie is survived by his loving wife Chery D Cox along with their 4 children: Lonnie Joe Cox Jr, Mechell Salter, Melissa White and Jamie Cox along with their spouses Vadra Cox, James Salter and Mike White. Lonnie had 12 Grandchildren (James Morris Jr, Briana Chandler, Michael Morris, Kylie Cox, Samantha Coker, Dakota Waggoner, Rebecka McDougald, Lonnie Joe (Joey) Cox III, Molly Rothery, Morgen Adler, Alex Cox, Garrett (Harley) Cox. Lonnie also had 20 great grandchildren (2 he had not meet yet but loved them in advance).

A Service of remembrance will be at 11:00am on Saturday February 11, 2023 at New Hope Presbyterian Church @ 2400 New Hope Church Road Carlton, Ga 30627 with David Cox officiating.
