Joann Black

Lois Joann Black, 86, wife of the late Charles Hampton Black, died on September 18, 2026.

Born May 8, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie Woods and Catherine Goolsby Woods. Joann was the owner and operator of Joann’s Beauty Salon and had attended Hull Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sheila Hicks and son and daughter in law, Randy and Donna Black.

Survivors include her son-in-law, Kent Hicks; three grandsons: Taylor (Brooke) Hicks, Logan (Paris) Hicks and Jason (Natalie) Black and two great granddaughters: Evie and Emmy Hicks.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2026 at 2PM at Colbert Cemetery with Rev. Randy Crowe officiating.
