Lisa Harrell Mills

Lisa Harrell Mills, age 65, died peacefully on July 22, 2024. Born in Macon, Ga, she was the daughter of the late William DeWitt Harrell and Shirley Jamieson Harrell and was raised in Athens, Ga. She attended Cedar Shoals High School and was a graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in Agricultural Economics. Lisa worked as a Financial Advisor for Merrill Lynch for 20 years, before transitioning into the banking industry. She held various leadership positions during her tenure in banking, before moving into business-to-business advertising and marketing. Lisa was devoted to her two children, always putting them first. She was full of life and enjoyed her family. She dedicated many years to English Springer Rescue America (ERSA) fostering and adopting dogs.

Survivors include her two children: Mary Chase (Greg) Bolden and Clayborne Mills; stepson, John Mills; sister, Paula (Craig) Crosby; granddaughter, Regan Chase Bolden; nephew and nieces, Taylor (Natalie) Crosby, Leigh (Danny) Williford, and Chandler (Cliff) Jones.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Watkinsville First United Methodist Church with a reception to follow in the fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital or English Springer Rescue America.
