Linda Jane Hinton Breedlove passed from this world on Sunday, July 13th, 2025, surrounded by family and friends.
She was born in Atlanta, Georgia on September 17, 1956 to William Brookes Hinton, Jr. and Barbara Jane Coker Hinton. She was a graduate of Tucker High School and Georgia Southern University, where she was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. She received her masters of education from Georgia State University. Her primary passion in life was the education of children and students with special needs, working for 34 years at Brookwood High School, helping form and build the special-needs department. She was a mentor for the inaugural year of the Lions Learning Academy, a program for students with cognitive and developmental disabilities at Hebron Christian Academy. Linda is predeceased by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, John Alan; sons, James Brookes (Kalyn), Connor Alan (Charlotte); daughter Kelsea Jane (fiancé Daniel Mejia); sisters, Kay H. Mason (Greg), Shannon H. Baker (Robert). Grandchildren, Colstin and Cason. Survivors also include her many nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as life long friends from Georgia Southern and her teaching career. Her humorous and outgoing spirit was only outmatched by her unwavering support and kindness towards her loved ones.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 19th from 1:30 pm to 4:00pm, with the service starting at 3:00 at Grace New Hope Church, 1766 New Hope Rd, Lawrenceville, GA.
