Lillian Marie Blount

Lillian Marie Brown Blount, 76, of Colbert, passed away on Friday, January 1, 2021.

Born on September 2, 1944 in Athens, GA she was the daughter of the late George and Rosa Mae Brown. She worked very hard in her life, always willing to go the extra mile for her family.

Along with her parents, Lillian was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, James F. Blount, Jr., son Marcus A. Blount, and brothers Alvin and Malcolm Mize.

Lillian is survived by her daughter Beth (Mike) Scott; granddaughters Jennifer (Kenneth) Cleverley, Michelle Scott, Bayleigh Blount, and Brenna Blount; brother Howard Mize; sisters Lenora Ramsey, Sara Casper, and Ella Ruth Gordon.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Lord and Stephens, Danielsville Chapel at 3:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Hampton-Whitworth Cemetery in Colbert.
