Lila Mae McCarty, 96, died Monday, July 8, 2013.
A native of Athens, she was the daughter of the late Emory and Vinnie Tucker Watson. She was also preceded in death by her grandsons: Dennis Lamar McCarty, Billy Edward McCarty, Jr. and Robert Todd McCarty. She was a member of Colbert Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons: Roy Alton McCarty of Colbert, Billy Edward McCarty of Watkinsville; grandchildren: Chris McCarty of Colbert, Terry McCarty of Prattville, AL, Tara McCarty of Danielsville, Christy Pass of Athens, Sarina McLaine of Watkinsville; six great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 11AM at Evergreen Memorial Park with Rev. Brad Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Mary's Hospice.
Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, Danielsville is in charge of arrangements.
