Leon Russell Craig

Leon Russell Craig, 64, of Arnoldsville, GA passed away on December 3, 2025. Born in Hall County, GA, he was the son of the late Leon Walker Craig and Margaret “Doodie” Craig. In addition to his parents, Leon is preceded in death by his wife, Melissa Dockery Craig.

Survivors include his three children: Amanda Swanner (David), Courtney Hancock (Bubba), and Brentlee “DJ” Craig; five grandchildren: Hailey Swanner, Amber Swanner, Alexis Craig, Chase Craig, and Bradley Swanner; five siblings: Donna Jones (George), Jan Spradley (Kenny), Michael Craig (Suzie), Daniel Craig (Karen), and Paul Craig (Monica); In-laws: Roland and Sandra Dockery; 12 nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Leon was a proud Veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed being a lineman for many years and had a deep love for motorcycles. Leon was a loving father and will be missed by all who knew him.

A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, East, on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, starting at 12:00 PM. The family will receive friends the night prior from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM. Following the service, interment will follow at Temple United Methodist Church Cemetery.
