Lenora Christy Smith, 96, died Saturday, May 7, 2005 at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born in Oglethorpe County, she was the daughter of the late Elbridge and Callie Shelnutt Christy, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband Sam Smith and daughter Gladys Smith. She was a member of Lexington Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons, Marvin Smith of Colbert, James Smith of Conyers, daughters, Pauline Hayes of Conyers, Della Paradise of Stephens, sisters, Hazel Butler and Florine Myers both of Watkinsville, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 9, 2005 at 2PM at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, EAST with Revs. Harry Warren and Scott Smith officiating. Burial will be held at Edwards Baptist Church Cemetery.
Lord & Stephens, EAST is in charge of arrangements.
