Lee H. Thaxton

Lee Happ Thaxton, 86, husband of 63 years to the late Shirley Lowe Thaxton, died on July 16, 2026.

Born in Farmington, GA, he was the son of the late Henry Charles Thaxton and Sallie Hansford Thaxton. Lee retired from Bellsouth and served in the US Army. He enjoyed attending auctions, searching for antiques, golf cart rides, and being on his tractor He loved the country life

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law: Greg and Abbie Thaxton; granddaughter and her husband: Kimberlee and Mack Saxon; great granddaughter: Charlee Saxon; sister: Joann Escoe and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 24, 20926 at 11AM at Arnoldsville Cemetery.
