Laura Roseborough Ford, age 96, of Watkinsville, Georgia, passed away on June 4, 2026.

Born on July 12, 1929, in Greenville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Douglas Roseborough and Mary Amanda DeVault Roseborough. She was raised in Mount Dora, Florida, and spent most of her life in Knoxville, Tennessee, with her beloved husband, Gordon L. Ford.

Laura was a devoted homemaker who found joy in playing bridge, gardening, and sewing. She and Gordon traveled extensively and lived for a time in Jordan and Yemen. Together, they were active members of the Knoxville Friendship Force. Laura and Gordon were founding members of Lake Forest Presbyterian Church and later members of First Presbyterian Church of Knoxville.

Above all, Laura cherished time spent with family and friends. Her warmth, kindness, and loving spirit enriched the lives of all who knew her.

She is survived by her son, David L. Ford and his wife, Georgia H. Ford; her daughter, Mary Carol Eddleman; and grandson Gregory David Ford; granddaughters, Rachel Diana Eddleman and Kaila Elyse Eddleman Farmer.

In addition to her parents, Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon L. Ford; her son, Edward D. Ford; her brothers, Douglas DeVault Roseborough and Frederick Jeffries Roseborough; and her sisters, Sarah Elizabeth Smith and Marian Louise Smith.

Mrs. Ford will be interred beside her husband at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, E. Governor John Sevier Highway, Knoxville, Tennessee.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Knoxville or Remote Area Medical of Rockford, Tennessee.
