Lamar Carroll Griffith, Jr.

Lamar Carroll Griffith, Jr., 61, passed away on March 7, 2023, in Comer, Georgia.
Junior was born in Athens to Lamar Carroll Griffith, Sr. and Margaret (Aycock) Griffith on September 14, 1961. Junior was a special soul who loved music - especially Gospel - and greeting all the staff and visitors to Comer Health & Rehabilitation, where he resided for several years. His fellow residents will miss his resounding calls of "BINGO" on game nights. After a lifetime of limitations, Junior is at last unconstrained.
Junior is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents James Malcom and Ruby Lee (Cain) Griffith, and Walter Binns and Mattie (Truitt) Aycock.
Junior is survived by his uncle and aunts, Cecil and Lillian Griffith, Mimi Griffith, and Cele Griffith, and by several cousins.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Athens Memory Gardens at 2:00 p.m.
