Kirby Tindel Tracy Sr., 55, died Sunday, May 8, 2005 peacefully at his home.
Born in Mobile, AL, he was the son of Thomas Glynn and Mary Lee Tracy who survive him.
Kirby was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church where he sang with the choir. He was a member of the Athens Master Chorale, the Nitty Gritty "Bike" Band and formerly with the Barber Shop Chorus in Macon.
Survivors also include his wife, Linda Tracy, sons, Kirby Tracy Jr., of College Station, TX, Scott Tracy, of Athens, brother, Tom Tracy, of Black Mountain, NC, sister, Terry Heyer, of Mableton, GA and grandson, Landen Tracy, of College Station, TX.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 10, 2005 at 3 p.m. at Faith Presbyterian Church with Rev. Bob McAndrew officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church at 2 p.m. prior to the service. The family has requested that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, 1060 Gaines School Rd., Athens, GA 30605 or to Faith Presbyterian Church, 2191 Mars Hill Rd., Watkinsville, GA 30677.
