Kimberly Goss McCleary

Kimberly Goss McCleary passed away on May 18, 2025. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1972.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Sidney Goss, III and Carolyn Zellner Goss; her maternal grandparents, Kimball and Helen Zellner; her paternal grandparents, Dr. Albert Sidney Goss, Jr.; and Stephen Henderson Jr. and Gloria VanSandt Henderson.

Kimberly is survived by her beloved sons, Parker Thomas McCleary and William Sidney McCleary; her sister, Leanne Dowd Goss; her aunt, Heidi Goss (Suzanne); her uncle, Randy Goss (Danette); her cousins, Terry Goss, Jr. (Jennifer) and Tiffany Rouse (Robert); and her grandmother, Madge Goss.

A graduate of the University of Georgia in 1994, Kimberly moved to California shortly after completing her degree and began a career in high technology. She worked at Oracle Corporation, where she eventually became a Director of Sales. She later held similar roles at Internet Security Systems and IBM, managing business partnerships and strategic accounts. Kimberly also worked at AMH, the government contracting firm her father, Sid Goss, started in 1991.

Kimberly traveled widely, visiting four continents. She loved spending time with her boys at the beach, especially in Charleston, South Carolina. Her interests included music, fashion, interior design and her blue 1969 Mercedes Benz convertible, like one her grandmother had owned.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to The Sparrow’s Nest (Athens, Georgia) or another organization of your choice.

A service will be held at Lord & Stephens West Funeral Home in Watkinsville, Georgia on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 2:00pm with a reception and visitation immediately following the service.
