Kenneth Wayne Langston, 77, of Royston, GA passed away peacefully in his home on June 6, 2025. A lifelong resident of the Franklin County area, he was the son of the late Ford Langston and Gracie Belle Roberts Langston. Wayne retired from Harmony Grove Mills in Commerce after 25 years and Johnson & Johnson in Royston after 15 years. Wayne is best remembered for picking up household garbage in the Franklin County and Madison County area for over 40 years, servicing over 1000 households throughout that time with his legendary service with a smile, offering a sweet prayer, and an encouraging word.
As a follower of Christ, Wayne was an active long-time member of New Hope Worship Center in Danielsville. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Ann Holley, his brother, James “Jimmy” Langston, and his two grandchildren, Marcus Kelley and Langston Jones. Survivors include his wife, Louise Bennett Langston; children, Andy Bennett (Nikki), Chanice Jones (Billy), Jennifer Ballew, Kenneth Langston (Stephanie), and Danny Ballew; brother, Danny Langston (Alma); grandchildren, Chris Kelley, Erin Benton (Trey), Tate Bennett, Bennett , Merritt, and LilaBelle Jones, Israel and Deangelo Ballew, Elias and Everly Langston, great-grandchildren, Grayson, Ansley, and Khloe Kelley, Myles Kelley, Laika and Blaine Benton.
In lieu of a funeral service and flowers, the family will have a celebration of life Saturday, November 29th, 2025 (Wayne’s birthday). Financial donations and new unwrapped toys will be accepted to be donated to Toys for Tots in Wayne’s memory. Anyone who knew Wayne will remember his generous spirit in giving to the children of our community, especially at Christmas time.
The family is deeply grateful to Gentiva Hospice for the gentle and compassionate care of our sweet Paw Paw throughout this transition from death to eternal life!
