Sue Fauber

Katie Sue Fauber, 84, of Comer passed away on August 26, 2024. Born on November 6, 1939, she was the daughter of the late John “Sam” Colquitt and Nettie Inez Graham Colquitt.

Sue was a long-time member of Colliers Batist Church in Comer, GA. She was a homemaker while also working a full-time job at Piedmont Athens Regional where she retired after 19 years of employment. She loved to cook, bake, crochet, knit, sew and was very involved with her children and grandchildren. Sue was the president of the Madison County Band Boosters and started a Cub Scout Den in Hull, GA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm L. “Pete” Fauber, Jr.; children, Vicki Lynn Taylor, Nell Inez Kennison; granddaughter, Lindsey Kennison; siblings, Clayton Colquitt, Tom Colquitt.

Survivors include her children, Malcolm L. “Mack” Fauber III, Elizabeth Fauber Walden (Ricky); grandchildren, Timothy Huff, Jackie Huff, Matthew Kennison (Amber), Missy Autrey, Michelle Autrey; 17 great grandchildren; sister, Ann Lyons; many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 11AM at Comer City Cemetery.
