Mrs. Kathy Lynn Meadows, 71, of Jones County, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be held at Hart’s Mortuary Jones County Chapel, Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 11:00AM with the Reverend Bo Turner officiating.
Kathy graduated from Clarke Central High School in Athens, Georgia in 1971. After graduating she worked for several different insurance companies as an insurance adjuster, including her most recent employer, Core Management Resources, Macon. Kathy was a true fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and enjoyed camping and spending time at the lake. She was very friendly and outgoing and went out of her way to help others. Kathy was a faithful Christian and member of Real Life Church. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family and grandkids and going home to Athens to visit her parents, uncles, aunts, and her cousin, Paulette, who was like a sister to her. Kathy and the love of her life, Randy, would have celebrated their forty-fourth wedding anniversary this coming Thursday, April 4, 2024.
Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Edna Harris McElroy; and brother, Steven Harris McElroy (Debra), all of Athens. She is survived by her husband of forty-four years, Randy Meadows; son, Randy Kevin Meadows (Amber) of Gray, Georgia; grandchildren, Ava Claire Meadows, Evan Meadows, and Aubree Meadows; grandson-to-be, Sawyer Reid Meadows; nephews, Kyle McElroy and Christopher McElroy of Lexington, South Carolina; cousins, Paulette Anderson (Jackie, dec.) of Watkinsville, Georgia, Latrelle Thomas (Billy) of Murrayville, Georgia, Carolyn Gaines (Frank, dec.) of Winterville, Georgia, Janice Adams (Melvin, dec.) of Commerce, Georgia, Judy Williams (Jerry) of Gainesville, Georgia, Melba Hawkes (David) of Conyers, and Paul Lester (Debbie) of Colbert, Georgia; brother-in-law, Larry Wade Meadows (Florine); sisters-in-law, Debra McElroy of Athens, Betty Adams (David, dec.), of Gray, Patricia Donihoo (Joel), of Macon, Georgia, Donna Hill (Jimmy) of Gray; and former daughter-in-law, Kristi Meadows of Gray.
