Karen Samayoa, 57, died Friday, November 23, 2012. Karen moved to Athens after retiring from the Hug Center in Birmingham where she worked as a LPN. Karen continued to be a trivia fanatic, always full of information. Karen is survived by husband, Luis Samayoa, children, Stacey Compton (Robert), Natalie Samayoa, and Lynn-Marie Samayoa, mother Lavona Spangler, brothers Raymond Douglas Spangler and Michael Scott Spangler, and sisters Jeanette Elaine Jenkins and Sara Eileen Spangler. Lord and Stephens, East Athens Ga., is in charge of arrangements.
