June Lenore (McQuiney) Brittain

June Lenore McQuiney Brittain peacefully went to be with her Lord at 6:40 AM on Wednesday, December 28, 2022. She was born in Warren, Trumbull County, Ohio January 10, 1943. She was promoted to glory in Athens, Clarke County, Georgia. She married her soul mate on September 25, 1963. Eph 5:31.

June was a faithful member of Princeton United Methodist Church, Athens, GA.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Doyle Thomas Brittain, Sr, son Paul Gregory Brittain, and daughter, Cynthia “Cindy” Darlene Brittain Parrish, grandson Colton Hunter Parrish, and granddaughter Emily Lynn Brittain.

She was preceded in death by daughter Carolyn June Brittain, son Doyle Thomas Brittain, Jr., brothers Carroll Jennings Hinton and Herbert Earl McQuiney, sisters Violet E. “Vi” McQuiney O’Neal, Winifred “Winnie” McQuiney O’Malley, and Rev. Charlotte Audrey McQuiney Dixon.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 5:00 PM on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at Lord and Stephens West Chapel. There will be no memorial service or interment at this time.

The family requests that memorial donations in June’s memory be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
