Judy Sue Krumnow

Judy Sue Krumnow, born January 2, 1946, in Bainbridge, Georgia, passed away on October 25, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Gordon and Thelma Nash. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jennifer Clinard and her niece, Abby Wilson.

Judy is survived by her loving husband, Albert Harmon Krumnow; Albert’s siblings, Bertha (John) Voorhees Kitchen of Greenville, Ohio, Robert (Nancy) Krumnow of Gibsonburg, Ohio, Dennis (Sue) Krumnow of Lindsey, Ohio, and Randy (Stacy) Krumnow of Homer, Georgia. Judy’s sister Jennifer’s daughter, Kristina Clinard Wilson, niece, Kristina’s son Ian Wilson, great-nephew; along with other nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Judy was an exceptional teacher who dedicated her life to educating and caring for children. She was nominated three times for Teacher of the Year and received the Star Teacher award in Banks County. Judy loved her students as if they were her own children and often said, “Kids are my specialty.” Judy received her Bachelor of Science degree from Central Connecticut State University in Elementary Education, her Master of Education Degree from Mercer University, Specialist Degree in reading from the University of Georgia. She had a special love for reading and helping her students discover the joy of books.

Judy will be remembered for her love of teaching, her passion for reading, and the many lives she touched throughout her career. Her students held a special place in her heart, and she took great pride in helping them learn and grow. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, former students, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2026 at Trinity Lutheran Church, starting at 11:00 A.M. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.
