Judith Ann Ward, 87, of Landenberg, Pennsylvania, peacefully passed away on February 6, 2026. She was the beloved daughter of the late John Frederick and Grace DeEtte Waltman and grew up in Chicago, Illinois.

Judy and her husband, Dr. George Anthony Ward, moved east to Delaware, where they raised their family. A proud graduate of the University of Delaware, she earned a degree in elementary education and dedicated herself to teaching gifted students. She and George actively participated as lectors at the Parish of the Resurrection Church in Newark, Delaware, and volunteered with numerous organizations, including Emmanuel Dining Hall, the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, and Delaware Wildlife.

Judy's passions included tennis, golf, bridge, and travel. In 2021, she relocated to Georgia, allowing her to spend cherished time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who enriched her later years. She truly embodied the spirit of a long life well-lived.

Judith was preceded in death by her husband, George, and her daughter, Cynthia Grace. She is survived by her loving children and their spouses: Cheryl and Al Landers, Kathleen and Timothy Owings, and George Ward III. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Cara and Anthony Pecca, Danielle and Field McCann, Julianne Landers, Shannon Owings, Katie Owings, Patrick Owings, and Shane Owings, as well as her great-grandchildren, Caleb Pecca, Aiden Pecca, Field McCann, and Scarlet McCann.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation (AMDF) at www.macular.org (http://www.macular.org).

Judith's warmth, kindness, and vibrant spirit will be dearly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
