Joy Michelle Ashe, 59, of Bishop, GA, passed away September 19, 2026.

Joy was the daughter of the late, Mr. & Mrs. Jerry and Shirley Wells of Winder and was also preceded in death by her brother, John "Hughie" Wells of Statham, Sister-in-law, Alice LePack Scott of Athens and Son-in-law, David George of Villa Rica.

In memory of "Mama Joy" , the matriarch of our family. Joy was in her element when hosting family events and functions for every occasion. Joy took great pride in her 20 years of respiratory therapy work, where she met the love of her life, Terrell Ashe. She provided the "Joy of Avon" for 15 years, delivering beauty and friendship to your door.

Joy lit up every room she was in, living unapologetically out loud with glitz and glamour. Her life was full, centered around family and a seemingly endless amount of friends because Joy never met a stranger.

Joy is survived by: Her Husband, Terrell Ashe; 5 children; Valerie Dickey (Joshua), Victoria George, Bill Shealy, Cody Ashe and Evan Ashe, brother, Edward Jerry Wells, sister in law, Phyllis Wells, 3 Grandchildren; Leelynn, Laik, and Skyann Joy Redding, 4 Nieces, 9 Great-Nieces and Nephews, and 4 Great-Great Nieces and Nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Lord & Stephens, West Chapel. The family will be seeing guests before the service from 1:00pm to 2:00pm and afterwards light refreshments will be provided.
