Joshua "Josh" David Young, 29, died July 29, 2014.
A native and lifelong resident of Colbert, GA, he was a son of James David and Frances Kettle Young of Colbert. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and will be remembered as a loving husband, father and son. Josh enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially at Lake Russell.
Funeral services will be Sunday, August 3, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Douglas Duncan officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Survivors in addition to his parents include his wife of seven years, Carrie Gillespie Young; two children, Jesse David Young and Lauren Carrie Young; sister, Jennifer Young of Germany; grandmother, Barbara Ann Porter Young of Danielsville; in-laws, Travis and Teresa Gillespie of Lexington and Anna and Walt Thornton of Wheatland, WY.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 until 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
