Watkinsville - Mrs. Josephine McCarty, 84, wife of the late Horace McCarty, died Sunday, June 26, 2005 at Quiet Oaks Health Care Center in Crawford.
Born in Gwinnett County, she was the daughter of the late Miles M. and Lila Johnson and was preceded in death by her daughter Margie Drinkard. She was a member of Mars Hill Baptist Church and had retired from Wilkins Industries, Athens.
Survivors include her children, Rachael Inglett of Winterville, Guy Dover of Colbert, Andy McCarty of Watkinsville, Wayne McCarty of Grayson, Alton McCarty of Colbert, Billy McCarty of Farmington; 15 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 29, 2005 at 11 AM at Evergreen Memorial Park with Rev. Ronnie Healan officiating. Visitation will be held tonight 6-8 at Lord & Stephens, WEST.
Lord & Stephens, WEST is in charge of arrangements.
