Crawford - John Thomas Faust, Jr., 72, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2005.
A native of Oglethorpe County, he was the son of the late John Thomas Faust Sr. and Addie Noell Faust. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, was employed with the Navy Commissary, and a member of Lighthouse Evangelical Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m., Thursday, July 14, 2005, at the Lighthouse Evangelical Methodist Church with the Rev. Donnie Morgan and Chaplain Mark Fite officiating. Burial will be in Athens Memory Gardens.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Grimes Faust; two sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy S. and Jeannine Faust of Bowman, SC, Donny and Amanda Faust of Crawford; daughter and son-in-law, Libby and Jason Thaxton of Rayle; six grandchildren, Carrie, Kathryn, and Landon Faust, and Heather, Ethan, and Audrey Thaxton.
Pallbearers are Alan Erwin, Doug Eberhardt, Shane Kitchens, Chris Dellinger, Clay Mathews and Mike Compton.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Flowers accepted or donations may be made to St. Maryís Hospice, P.O. Box 6588, Athens, GA,30604.
Lord and Stephens Oglethorpe Chapel, Crawford, is in charge of arrangements.
