Joel Colquitt

Joel Colquitt, of Athens, passed away on January 26, 2026.

Born in Athens, GA, he was the son of the late Coile and Christine Colquitt. In his free time, he enjoyed working with his hands, days out on the boat, water skiing, camping at Moccasin Creek State Park and spending time with his friends, Warren and Eleanor Mason, David and Margie Burt, and Wayne and Becky Sorrow; but nothing was more important than spending time with his wife Debbie Colquitt and his two sons, Jason and Casey.

Survivors include his sons Jason (Michelle) Colquitt and Casey (Rachel) Colquitt; and grandchildren Claire-Ann Chambliss and Alex Chambliss.

Along with his parents, Joel is preceded in death by his wife Debbie Colquitt; sister, Jennifer Colquitt; and brother Billy Colquitt.

Memorial services for Joel Colquitt will be held on February 28th 2026, 2:00 PM, at Millstone Baptist Church. (479 Gene Smith Rd, Carlton, GA 30627)
