Joe Boyd Lavender

Joe Boyd Lavender, 51, was born on July 17, 1974 and passed away on February 6, 2026. Joe was a native of Oconee County and graduated from Oconee County High School. He earned a Diploma in Drafting and Design and an Associates in Applied Technology from Athens Technical College and also received a B.S. in Information Technology from Georgia Southern. Joe had a rewarding career at the Kimberly-Clarke plant in Roswell, Georgia, before he was transferred to their plant in Mobile, Alabama. Joe is survived by his loving wife, Angela Snow Lavender. He is also survived by his parents, Billy and Cheryl Anderson Lavender. Joe was a proud father to Zachary Glenn Lavender, Megan Miranda Lavender, and William Davis Lavender. He is remembered by his sister, Susan Richards, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. A Celebration of Life will be held for Joe at 3PM on February 14, 2026, at Antioch Christian Church in Watkinsville, Georgia. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery.
