Joann King

Joann King, 85, of Colbert, passed away on June 11, 2025 with her loving family by her side. Born Feb. 11,1940 in Lavonia, GA, she was the daughter of the late Memphis Tennessee & Sylvia Nix King.

In her free time, she enjoyed traveling and gardening, but nothing was more important than spending time with her beautiful family.

Survivors include her children, Tony Lynn Fleming, Russell Dean King, George Gregory King (Ginny), Timothy Wayne King (Genia), Jeffery Scott King (Hope), Brian Keith King, Joshua Adam King (Casey),Cynthia King Waldrup (Timmy) 9 Grandkids & 12 Great Grandkids, 2 step Grandkids & 3 step Great Grandkids.

Along with her parents, Joann is preceded in death by her Spouses George Talmadge King, & Jewel D. Spence & Grandson, George Brandon King.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 13, 2025 from 6-8 PM. A funeral service for Joann will be Saturday, June 14, 2025, 2:00 PM at Lord and Stephens East, interment to follow at Lavonia Burgess Cemetery.
