Joan Elder Lee, 90, of Watkinsville, died June 7, 2023. A lifelong resident of Oconee County, she was the daughter of the late L.E. Elder and Berta Dellinger Elder. Joan loved being a homemaker and life long member of Bishop Baptist Church that she loved.  She enjoyed crafts, especially crocheting, spending time gardening and her greatest love was her family. Survivors include her three daughters; Brenda (David) McCoy, Janice (Andy) Marable, Myrna (Eddie) Powell ; sister: Ernestine Malcolm; brother in law: Walter (Delores) Lee, Jr.; four grandchildren: Justin (Jennie) Marable, Brent Powell, Brooke (J.D.) Hale and Amy (A.J.) Shilcoski; four great grandchildren: Earlie Marable, Woodrow Marable, Olivia Powell and John Luke Hale. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 9, 2023 at 4:30PM at Oconee Chapel, 2370 Hog Mountain Road, Watkinsville with Rev. David Shivar officiating. Interment will follow in Oconee Memorial Park. Following the interment, the family will receive friends at Oconee Chapel until 6PM. Flowers will be accepted. Lord and Stephens Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements. www.lordandstephens.com
