Jimmie Lee Inglett, cherished mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 15, 2026 at the age of 83.
Born in Augusta, she was the only child of James Thomas Worthen and Myrtle Lee Lance Worthen. Jimmie moved to Arnoldsville at a young age and graduated from Oglethorpe County High School, where she formed many lifelong friendships. She found great joy in tending to her flowers and working in her yard, caring for her beloved cats, and camping in the North Georgia Mountains. Jimmie especially cherished the time she spent with her lifelong friends, Jean, Claudette, Florine, and Glynda, whose friendship brought her countless happy memories over the years. She was a longtime faithful member of Winterville Baptist Church having served in numerous roles. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas "Tommy" W. Inglett, Jr.
Survivors include her children, Dean Stewart (Patty) of Arnoldsville and Leigh Bagwell (Kenny) of Winterville; grandchildren, Ashley Carter (Jared) and their children, Samuel Carter, Aubrey Carter and Emerson Carter of Thomasville and Jackson Stewart of Augusta.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Winterville City Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service at the cemetery from 1:30 until 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Winterville First Baptist Church, 205 N. Church Street, Winterville, GA 30683 or to the Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter, 1888 Colbert Danielsville Road, Danielsville, GA 30633.
