Jessica Leigh Brubaker

Jessica “Jessi” Leigh Brubaker was born August 15, 1986 in Atlanta, Georgia to Donald and Jennifer Gallup. She grew up in Buford and was the eldest of eight siblings, seven of whom she is survived by, in addition to their significant others and a precious string of the cutest nephews in the world. Jessi loved to travel, swim, spend time outdoors, and was a Quarter Horse and Australian Shepherd enthusiast. Jessi graduated from Heritage Academy and went to Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College where she met her husband, Ben. After time spent apart as friends, Ben and Jessi reconnected, married and spent twelve vibrant years together. Jessi’s most honored life achievement was bringing her two children into the world and being allowed to raise them for the time that God allowed her to. Her salvation through Jesus Christ, “her two babies” and her marriage to Ben were her life’s greatest blessings. When reflecting on her forty years on earth, she only felt gratitude about a journey where such immense love and joy was experienced. Her relationship with God, her family’s never ending love and support, the closeness shared with so many special friends and her rich experiences in life all led her to a place of peace at the end. She prays her children know every single day how much she so deeply cherished them, that she prayed over their lives and will be waiting in heaven one day for them when it is their time.

A celebration of life for Jessica will be held on Wednesday, September 30 at 11:00 at Clouds Creek Baptist Church, with graveside service immediately to follow (family only) in Comer.

In true Jessi fashion, she has requested that the day be filled with beautiful bright colors and not be a day of sadness; she requested that instead of black attire, everyone wear bright, vibrant colors! Please join her family and friends at this time to celebrate a beautiful life, devoted to Christ, and very well lived!

In lieu of flowers, Jessi's family ask that donations be made to the 'Naomi and Benji Brubaker Educational Fund' with The Commercial Bank.
