Jeffery Scott Weaver

Jeffery Scott Weaver, 63, of Athens, Georgia, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2025.

Born on September 1, 1961, in Anniston, Alabama, Jeff was a man who lived with a full heart and a warm spirit. Known for his kind nature, friendly smile, and unwavering love for his family, Jeff made a lasting impression on everyone lucky enough to know him.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Dana Marie Weaver; his son, Joshua Alexander Weaver and his wife Ashlind Weaver and their son Dutton James Weaver; his daughter, Devin Marie Weaver; his son in law Micah David Sheppard; his mother Clara Weaver; his sister Teresa and brother in law Chris Davis along with two nephews, Chandler and Andrew Davis, his three niece’s Kristen Lauben, Julie Martinez, and Kayla Newton;Jeff’s family was his pride and joy, and he found deep happiness in the everyday moments shared with them. Whether it was a simple conversation, a shared laugh, or a quiet afternoon watching a game, Jeff cherished every second.

Jeff was a true lover of life’s simple pleasures. He was passionate about sports and could often be found cheering on his favorite teams with a cold beer in hand and a cat or two curled up nearby. His love for animals, especially his many cats over the years, was just one of the ways he showed his gentle and nurturing soul.

Those who knew Jeff will remember him as a man who never met a stranger, who offered kindness without hesitation, and who found joy in the ordinary. His legacy of love, laughter, and compassion will continue to live on through his family and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

A private memorial will be held by the family to honor Jeff’s life and memory.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a local animal shelter in Jeff’s name, in honor of his deep love for cats.
