Jeanette Hill Dove

Jeanette Hill Dove, cherished wife, mother, granny and sister, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at the age of 93.

Born in Royston, she was a daughter of the late Floyd Hill and Alma Birdell Scoggins Hill. Mrs. Dove was a former Little League mom and Cub Scout den mother. She retired from Danielsville Elementary as a Cafeteria Worker and was "granny" to many children and grandchildren, not just her own. Mrs. Dove was a fabulous cook and always had enough for anyone that dropped by for a visit. She was a longtime member of Friendship Baptist Church where she was active until her health declined. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnson Lewis Dove and four siblings, Hillary Louise Hill, Fannie Lois Hill, Pauline Hill Anderson and Inez Hill Hardman.

Survivors include four children, Patsy Langford, Marsha Westbrook (Lee), Anthony Dove (CeCi) and Sandra Martin (David); ten grandchildren, Casey Langford (Aiysha), Katie Pierce (Jim), Barry Westbrook (Nichole), Joni Smith (Ben), Bonnie Brunson (Bob), Jenna Seagraves (Blaine), Carrie Kendall (Cole), Sarah Croya (Dalton), Will Smith and Nathan Martin (Kayla) and 19 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Friendship Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Danielsville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Mrs. Dove's grandsons and grandsons-in-law. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12:30. 

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation for Mrs. Dove's wonderful caregivers, Debra Looney and Jimmie Bennett.
