Janice D. Stewart

Janice D. Stewart, 80, of Hull, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 17, 2025.

Born in Athens, she was a daughter of the late James T. Draper and Sue J. Draper. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Hugh Dorsey Stewart. Mrs. Stewart retired from BellSouth Telecommunications in 1996, with over 30 years of service. While her health permitted, she would meet once a month for lunch, with many of her co-workers. Mrs. Stewart was a member of Winterville Baptist Church. She loved shopping and most importantly, she thrived on time spent with her family and friends.

Survivors include her niece, Christy Milford and her husband, Clint; great-niece, McKenzie Hoagland and her husband, Tyler; great-nephew, Levi Milford and his wife, Kimberly; and great-great nephews, Gus Milford, Crawford Milford and Brant Hoagland.

Funeral services for Mrs. Stewart will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Lord and Stephens, East with Rev. Ray Finger officiating. Interment will follow in the Hull Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 pm.
