Athens - James C. (Callie) Martin, 83, of Athens, died August 16, 2007.
Callie was born to Onnie and Maude Ingram Martin on September 7, 1923. In 2006, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Ethel Bales Martin. He was a retired supervisor with Chicopee Mills with over 35 years of service.
Graveside services will be Saturday, August 18, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Athens Memory Gardens with Rev. Randy Crowe officiating.
Survivors include his son, Garnett Ray Martin of Lexington; grandson, Gregory Ray Martin; special friends, Ed and Glenda Culbertson of Colbert; brother, Otis Martin of Ormond Beach, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Hospice House, 1660 Jennings Mill Road, Bogart, GA 30622.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
