James Robert Langston

James Robert "Jimmy" Langston, 79, of Royston, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 10, 2024.
A lifelong resident of the Franklin County area, he was a son of the late Ford Langston and Gracie Belle Roberts Langston. Jimmy was a Veteran of the United States Army having served two tours in Vietnam as a Staff Sergeant (E-6). Following his military service, he worked for many years at Power Partners (formerly ABB/Westinghouse) until his retirement. Jimmy was an avid outdoorsman and loved the mountains. He was of the Baptist faith and most importantly, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Ann Holley.
Survivors include his wife, Reba D. Langston; children, Robert Langston (Avery), Chris Langston, Donna Rice (Kenyon) and Brian Langston; brothers, Wayne Langston (Louise) and Danny Langston (Alma); six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 3:00 pm at Lord and Stephens, Danielsville. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 until 3:00 pm at the funeral home.
