James A. Kirby, Jr.

Danielsville

James A. Kirby, Jr., cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2024, at the age of 84.

Born in Augusta on January 14, 1940, he was a son of the late James A. Kirby, Sr., and Blanche Faw Kirby. Mr. Kirby retired from the United States Forestry Service, and he also worked for the United States Department of Agriculture Sciences Lab and for the Clarke County Board of Education as a Bus Driver and Crossing Guard. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the outdoors.  He was very passionate about telling people about Jesus. He attended Green Acres Baptist Church for 53 years and more recently Ila Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Marian Lance Parham; son, Jay (Christy) Kirby; grandchildren, Stephen (Shannon) Salum, Macie Marie Kirby and MacKenzie (Emory) Vaughan; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Grace Salum and Everett Gregory Vaughan; brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Agnes Kirby; sister-in-law, Velma Ferris and brother-in-law, Norman Parham.

A celebration of life will be held on April 13th of 2024 from 1pm to 4pm at 1830 Friendship Church Rd, Danielsville GA 30633.
