James "Jim" Arthur Merck

James “Jim” Arthur Merck 83 of Athens, GA, passed away on August 30, 2024. He was the son of the late, Hoyt & Pauline Merck; he was also preceded by his son, Scott Merck. James was a longtime member and attended Hull Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and a youth Sunday school teacher. He loved old cars, camping, and fishing but more than that he loved his family, being a husband and a father to his sons.

Memorial Services will be Sunday, September 1, 2024, 2:00pm at Hull Baptist Church with Rev’s Jeff Tinsley and Randy Crowe officiating. The family will visit one hour prior to the service in the sanctuary.

Survivors include wife of 62 years, Nancy Merck; son, Todd Merck; sister, Barbara (Walter) Trotter; several nieces and nephews.
