Comer - James Polk Gholston, 93, husband of Eula Adams Gholston, died Friday, April 17, 2009 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM, Monday, April 20, 2009 at Lord & Stephens Danielsville Chapel with Rev. Rodney Owens officiating. Visitation will be held from 12 Noon to 2:00PM prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
A native of Comer, GA, he was the son of the late James and Mattie Bell Gholston. Polk was a member of Comer Baptist Church and served his country as a Captain in the US Army during WWII. He was a graduate of Riverside Military Academy.
Survivors include his wife, Eula Gholston of Comer; step children: David (Karen) Alton, Anne (Steve) Hochwalt; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Comer Elementary School.
