James Dallas Cannady, 92, of Athens, passed away on July 10th, 2025. He was born in Clinton, North Carolina but later moved to Athens in 1972.
He served in the U.S Army and retired from Coble Dairy after 40 years of being with the company.
He was also the husband of the late Joan Cannady of 67 years before her passing in 2009. He was devoted husband, father, devoted grandfather and God loving man. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Athens for over 50 years.
Funeral arrangements will be Wednesday July 16th, 2025 at 2pm at First Baptist Church with Matt Marston and Emily Glass officiating. Family and friends are encouraged to attend to celebrate his life in the place he loved the most.
Survivors include his son and daughter in law; James (Jim) Cannady, Shelley Cannady and daughter; Karen Whitley. Two granddaughters and their spouses; Noelle Brendle, David and Ashley Williams, Austin. Along with two great grandchildren; Alexander James Brendle and Kaisley Joan Williams.
