James Albert Paul

April 6, 1929 — December 10, 2011

James Albert Paul, 82, husband of Juanita Lee Paul, died Sunday, December
11, 2011 at his residence.
A native of Lexington, he was the son of the late William Thomas and Cynnie
Pass Paul. He retired from Southern Bell after 32 years. He was a Charter
Member at The Lighthouse Methodist Church where he served as a steward.
He was a volunteer fireman for the Lexington Fire Department for more than 40 years.
In addition to his wife, Juanita, survivors include sons and daughters in
law: Thomas Russell (Teresa Rowland) Paul of Lexington, Jeffery Lee (Marsha
Poss) Paul of Lexington: sister and brother in law: Barbara Paul (John
Wade) Smith of Hartwell; brother in law: Russell Howard (Marsha) Lee of
Watkinsville; grandchildren: Jennifer Paul (Elliott) Burt, Macie Leanne Paul,
Sarah Beth Paul, Meredith Paul, Andy Paul and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at 3:00 PM at The
Lighthouse Methodist Church, Lexington with Rev. Donnie Morgan officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Billy
Colquitt, Bob Smith, James Allen Mathews, Bob Huff, Chad Williams and Dean
Williams. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 PM, Monday, December
12, 2011 at the funeral home.
Flowers are optional or memorials may be made to The Lighthouse Methodist
Church, Building Fund, P.O. Box 295, Lexington, GA 30648.
Lord & Stephens East is in charge of arrangements.
