Comer - Irene Anna Slater, 94, died Saturday, September 19, 2009, at her residence.
Born in Emporia, Kan., she was the daughter of the late Matt and Elizabeth McGlinn.
Survivors include her sons Wayne Slater and his wife Betty Jean of Harker Heights, Texas, Donald Ray Slater and his wife Deborah of Marietta; daughter Cheryl Ann Jones and her husband Ricky of Comer; brother Matthew James McGlinn Jr. of Topeka, Kan.; sisters Dorothy Chapline of Victoria, Texas and Emma Robinson of Pasadena, Texas; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2009, at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens with Chaplain Bill Hayes officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Hospice House.
Lord & Stephens, EAST is in charge of arrangements.
