Hoyt Thomas Shelnutt

Hoyt Thomas Shelnutt, 85, died April 17, 2024.  

A native and lifelong resident of this area, he was a son of the late Thomas Henry and Willie Lois Murray Shelnutt. He was a heavy equipment operator most of his life. 

A Memorial Service will be Sunday, April 21, 2024 at 3:00PM at Auburn First Baptist Church, 1385 6^th Ave, Auburn, GA 30011. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00PM at the church. 

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Shelnutt; children, Kayla (Jeremy) Russ of Auburn, Michael (Cindy) Shelnutt of Athens and Tammy Wallace of Winterville; two brothers, Roger Shelnutt of Alabama and Dan Shelnutt of Peachtree City; seven grandchildren, Devin Shelnutt, Kayse Bentley, Erin Bentley, Jackie Russ, Jordan Russ, J.J. Russ and Woogie.
